There is news of a major Naxalite attack in Gadchiroli in Maharashtra. In Gadchiroli, Maharashtra, the Maoists blew up the police vehicle by blasting IED. Sources say that 16 soldiers have died in this Naxal attack. In Maoist-affected district of Gadchiroli in Maharashtra, Maoists targeted the police vehicle when the police team was going to that place, where in the morning the Naxalites had handed over 25 to 30 trains to the fire. It is being told that 16 policemen were present in the police force which attacked the Maoists.

However, after the blast, the encounter between the police and the Maoists continues. There is firing from both sides.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that after knowing that our 16 police personnel of the C-60 force of Gadchiroli were killed in a cowardly attack by the Maoists today, they were very sad. My feelings and prayers are with the families of martyrs. I am in touch with DGP and Gadchiroli SP.

Maharashtra Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar said at Gadchiroli Naxalite attack that we feel that 15 police jawans and a driver lost their lives in this attack.

PM Modi has tweeted this attack by tweeting. He tweeted: "We condemn the abominable attack on our security personnel in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. I salute all valiant security personnel. Their sacrifices will never be forgotten. My thoughts and solidarity are with mournful families. Offenders who commit such violence will not be spared.
Earlier, Naxals had attacked CRPF's patroling team in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra one day before the first phase of Lok Sabha elections. Many jawans came in the grip of the IED blast carried out by the Maoists on the CRPF's petroling team.

Earlier, in the Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra, the Naxalites burnt 25 vehicles of the road construction company. This morning, the Naxalites set fire to at least three dozen vehicles of private contractors in the sub-district Kurkheda of Gadchiroli. This incident took place in the morning when the state's foundation day was being prepared to celebrate 'Maharashtra Day'. Here, Naxalis were in the last phase of protests going on for one week to celebrate the first anniversary of the death of 40 of their 40 killed by security forces on April 22 last year.



Two more bodies of Naxalites found, 39 dead in encounter

The vehicles which were targeted by the Naxalites, were mostly from Amar Infrastructure Limited, who were engaged in construction works for the Purana-Yerkada sector of NH 136 near Dadapur village. Before fleeing the scene, the Maoists condemned the murder of their associates last year, posters and banners. Before leaving the Maoists, the two JCB, 11 tips, diesel and petrol tankers, rollers, generator van and two local offices were also handed over to the fire.
